About this painting:

Often our hikes are to get to a fishing hole, on one such excursion we encountered a Momma bear with four cubs. She treed her cubs upon seeing us and we immediately headed back down the trail and waited about 30 minutes. We sang and clapped and carried on so she'd know where we were. After that, figuring she would be gone we headed back up the trail. We didn't see the cubs in the tree and figured the family had moved on. Only, at the same time Mike and I noticed that Momma standing up the hill from us hidden just slightly behind a rock, rise to a standing position. I am here to tell y'all that I read her mind!
I faintly heard Mike saying, "For Pete's sake Chris, don't run!" Well... I wasn't exactly running...
