The inspiration and the drawing.  My husband and I used to make and sell pottery- Barber Pottery.  I had to quit because of some eye troubles (we hope to begin again some day!) but our work still inspires me.  I love the shape of this thrown yunomi and I used it for my next painting, which is a zinnia study in preparation for a flower landscape.  This sketch is already a paint by number: Notice the O, R and P on the petals...Orange, Red and Pink! ~Keep watching to see the slight twist!
