I normally use Arches 300 lb Cold Press paper but for kicks I ordered a sheet of Arches Hot Press paper. The difference is striking! This is an exaggeration of course but the difference is like painting on a paper towel vs. painting on a dinner plate.  Hot Press is so very smooth!
